Practical notes
- Rabat sits on the high-speed Al Boraq line — Casablanca is about 50 minutes and Tangier about 70 minutes by train.
- It is the calmest of the imperial cities: tidy, green and easy to walk, with far less hustle than Marrakech or Fes.
- Most museums and the Chellah close on Mondays or mid-afternoon — start early to fit both core sites in.
