In short

A private Rabat tour is a guided tour of Morocco's capital run just for your party — your own driver-guide and vehicle, your own start time, and an itinerary built around the sights you want to see.

We collect you from your hotel, riad, the airport or the train station and take you through the UNESCO monuments of Rabat — the 44-metre Almohad Hassan Tower and white-marble Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the blue-and-white Kasbah of the Udayas, and Chellah, where a Roman town and a medieval royal necropolis share one set of walls. Choose a focused half-day or the whole capital in a full private day; either way, the pace and the order are yours.

What's included

What does a private Rabat tour include?

Every private tour is door-to-door and fully guided. Here is what comes as standard — the rest is yours to shape.

Private driver-guide & vehicle

Your own English-speaking driver-guide and air-conditioned car or minivan for the whole tour — fuel, tolls and parking covered. Never pooled with strangers.

Hotel & riad door-to-door

Pickup and drop-off at any hotel or riad in Rabat or Salé, the Rabat–Salé airport (RBA), or the Rabat-Ville and Rabat-Agdal train stations.

All listed monument entries

Entrance fees for the sites in your itinerary — Hassan Tower, the Kasbah of the Udayas, Chellah and more — are included in the quoted price.

Your pace, your order

Because it's private, you set the start time, the depth and the route. Add the Mohammed VI Museum, a riverside lunch, or extra time in the medina on request.

The capital's monuments

What will I see on a private Rabat tour?

Hassan Tower & the Mausoleum of Mohammed V

The most recognisable image of the capital, part of Rabat's UNESCO World Heritage listing. The Hassan Tower is the unfinished 44-metre minaret of an Almohad mosque begun in 1195 under Yacoub al-Mansour; across the esplanade, the white-marble Mausoleum of Mohammed V — carved cedar, onyx and zellige — is open to respectfully dressed visitors of all faiths and watched over by the royal guard.

Hassan Tower half-day tour

Kasbah of the Udayas & Andalusian Gardens

The oldest part of Rabat, perched where the Bouregreg meets the Atlantic. Enter through the carved Almohad gate Bab Oudaia (c. 1195), wander the blue-and-white lanes painted by Andalusian refugees, walk the ocean ramparts and the Andalusian Gardens, and finish with mint tea at the clifftop café looking across to Salé.

Kasbah of the Udayas half-day tour

Chellah — Roman ruins & Merinid necropolis

Two ruins in one set of walls, and part of Rabat's UNESCO inscription. Beneath lies the Roman river port of Sala Colonia — forum, arch and baths; above, the 14th-century Merinid sultans built a walled royal necropolis with a leaning minaret now crowned by a stork's nest. A sunken garden, a saint's pool and clattering storks make it one of the most atmospheric places in Morocco.

Who it suits

Who are private Rabat tours for?

First-time visitors with limited time

If you have a day or a half-day in the capital — between trains, on a layover, or on a short city break — a private tour covers the UNESCO monuments without wasted time or wrong turns.

Couples & families who value comfort

Rabat is one of Morocco's gentlest cities to walk: flat, calm and low-hassle. Child seats are free, the pace is yours, and a private car means no waiting on a group.

Cruise & business travellers

Arriving by train, plane or on a Casablanca-port call, you can see the essentials of the capital and be back for your onward connection on a private, time-boxed schedule.

History & architecture lovers

Almohad, Merinid, Roman and Alaouite Rabat in one guided thread — read as a single story by a guide who lives here, rather than a checklist of stops.
