Overview

A full private day across the capital: the Hassan Tower and Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Kasbah of the Udayas and its gardens, the medina and Rue des Consuls, Chellah, and — on request — the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.

The complete capital in one unhurried day with your own guide and car. We begin at the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, climb to the Kasbah of the Udayas for the blue-and-white lanes and the Andalusian Gardens, then drop into the medina for the Rue des Consuls and the souika. After lunch we visit Chellah — the Roman town and Merinid necropolis under its storks — and, if you like, finish at the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Morocco's flagship national gallery.

Because it's private, the order and the depth are yours: linger longer in the kasbah, swap the museum for the Royal Palace exterior and the Andalusian gardens, or add a riverside lunch. This is the tour most first-time visitors to Rabat ask for.

Frequently asked

Questions about this tour.

Is "Rabat in Full, Privately" private or a group tour?

100% private. Just you and the people you book with — your own Rabat driver-guide, vehicle and pace from start to finish. We never pool travellers.

Can I change the itinerary or start time?

Yes. Every itinerary is a starting point. Shift the start time, swap a site, add the Mohammed VI Museum or a riverside lunch — we'll re-quote in 24 hours and lock the price in writing before any deposit.

Where does the tour start?

We collect you from any hotel or riad in Rabat or Salé, or from Rabat–Salé airport (RBA) or the Rabat-Ville / Rabat-Agdal train stations. Tell us where you're staying and we'll confirm the pickup point.

When should I book?

Most day and half-day tours can be arranged with a few days' notice; weekends and holidays fill faster, so a week ahead is safest.

Can we fit everything in one day?

Comfortably. Rabat's monuments are close together and rarely crowded, so a full private day covers the Hassan Tower, mausoleum, Udayas, medina and Chellah at an easy pace, with the Mohammed VI Museum or the Royal Palace exterior as an optional finish.

Is the Mohammed VI Museum always open?

The Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art is typically closed on Tuesdays and during exhibition changeovers. We check the current schedule when we confirm your date and swap in the Royal Palace exterior and gardens if it falls on a closed day.
