Why Casablanca

Casablanca is the capital's larger, louder neighbour — roughly an hour from Rabat by train and home to the country's main international airport (CMN), which means most trips to the Atlantic capital begin or end here. It is not the imperial-romantic Morocco of postcards but a working modern metropolis: art-deco architecture from the French period, an Atlantic corniche, and the staggering Hassan II Mosque on the water. Most travellers transit through on the way to Rabat; we build it in as a half-day for those who want to see it properly before settling into the calmer capital.

FAQ

Casablancacommon questions.

Is Casablanca worth visiting?+

For most leisure travellers, a half-day around the Hassan II Mosque and downtown is enough. Then continue an hour up the coast to Rabat for a calmer, greener capital base — the kasbah of the Udayas, the Hassan Tower and the Chellah reward a far slower pace.

Should I fly into Casablanca for a Rabat trip?+

Yes — Casablanca (CMN) is the main long-haul hub and only about an hour from the capital by train or private transfer, so it is the standard arrival point for a Rabat-based itinerary. We can collect you at the airport and bring you straight up the coast.
